As most have already heard, the BCPS STEAM Academy will be opening soon with open house on Aug. 13th! The STEAM Academy will offer many opportunities for students in Burke county. I am excited to be teaching at the academy this year. I will be instructing Digital Media and Principles of Engineering. Digital Media will be an hands on approach to graphic, audio and video production. Principles of Engineering is a part of the Project Lead The Way organization that is being offered all over the country. Students in engineering will be introduced to everyday engineering skills and challenges with many hands-on projects to take their learning to the next level.
